Zeitgeist is awesomely addictive! Don't ever let it go!
The event is good, and I'm decidedly human, and I'm very glad to see that it wasn't neglected in favour of last minute zOMG! tweaks. But next year, could the NPCs get new costumes? A big part of the fun of the Halloween event for me [and several others] was seeing what new costumes the NPCs were decked out in.
Now, to my questions~
As a fanthreader that's been left to molder in the FC, I'm curious to know:
-does it bother anyone else that fanthreads, who promoted Gaia Community related Discussions, have been dumped off in a forum that prohibits discussions? Or that no thought was given to the notion that some of them might have been legitimate discussion threads, not Hang-Out Threads, and followed GCD guidelines?
-has there been any further consideration regarding a fanthread subforum or a forum reserved for discussions about Gaia's storylines, characters, etc.
-realistically, will there ever be any reason to expect some little justice and consideration for the dedicated fanthreads that were unjustifiably misplaced in the wrong forum? Or are we just kidding ourselves that we'd could expect such consideration- ever?
Yeah we'll need to manage how many NPC to dress up for next year. Hard to dress up as we have so many characters. Maybe we'll have a poll?
The discussion about the placement on fanthreads is actually a big discussion that lasted for more than three months in the staff discussion area. We drove to the conclusion knowing that it's not the best solution, but it's a compromise, and we're still open to other ideas and solutions.

I think a large part of our frustration stems from the fact that, even though we've been asked for and have shared our feedback, it doesn't seem to have been considered. We've suggested a separate forum for fanthreads, or better yet a separate forum for Gaia storyline discussions wherein the rules won't be designed to exclude us, but when we inquire about the situation we're asked [again] for suggestions.
I think we're a bit at a loss for what we're supposed to say, I know I am anyway.
We've even suggested ways to combine different GCD subforums that are exceedingly slow from little use in ways that make practical sense.
[Avatar Arena and Avatar Talk could be combined into one sub-forum. Homes Arena Discussion and Gaia Towns could be combined. The Forum Fairy says that the Gaia Quest sub-forum is going to be closed [at least they got some warning rolleyes ], so it would be entirely reasonable, and responsible, to create a sub-forum for storyline discussion.]
I appreciate that the staff have discussed this, but we've been asked for our feedback, we've given it, and now we'd like to know if it's being considered or if we should just resign ourselves to the FC.
If you've all just already made up your minds- just tell us; I'd rather not continue fighting for a lost cause. Otherwise expect to see us again every week until we've been given a home.
