I wish I had
The perfect Christmas,
One with a father,
Mother, sisters,
Brothers, grandparents,
Aunts, uncles,
a big happy family.
Just like a story.
I wish for it every year,
but my wish never comes true.
I get nothing.
Nothing at all.
I wish my dad
Would love my mom,
And she would let him
Back in the house.
That'll never happen.
Instead, I get
Two Christmases.
Unfair?
Well, I guess,
That it is kind of like
A perfect Christmas,
I see my dad,
Mom, brothers,
Sisters, grandparents,
Aunts, Uncles,
Everyone.
A big, happy, separated family.
