Radiance of light in our smiles
Never a worry-you wouldn't find them for miles
On this Christmas day.
Singing songs of joy and peaceful nights
As little magic falls down from the sky
And all I can do-all I can say is:
Yeah...Right...
Because never would we have a snow white Christmas
Never would we have a time with Mom or Dad
It's all the same
Every time
Everyday
Santa Claus isn't coming our way
We live in a place
Where there's a whole lot of fakes
And these people that are robbing out of our way
Of life
We don't want this
We wanted Christmas
Little magic to fall from the skies
Before our eyes
Is that not right?
Fighting fighting on Christmas
Even though it's none of your business
Different people passing me
On and on
They seem really nice and then they're really poor
Half the time I don't know what's going on
They said they would keep me
Safe and warm
In our home-
But now I'm back
Clothed in rags
With other kids- just as sad
I wanted some cheer
With a family here
Drinking eggnog like beer
And singing songs for a great year
See?
Here-
But no.
No little magic.
So if you have it
Well...be glad then.

Description:
It's supposed to be in the view of an orphan or foster kid maybe?
I think I got the perspective because my friend is a foster girl and she is getting a new family, but thankfully isn't leaving the area I live. I wonder how it makes her feel and if it makes her feel this bad. I hope to make her more happy because she's my friend and she only has one week at our school before it's goodbye... - Date: 12/12/2008
