Like a soft white blanket
That came from the heavenly sky
Though I feigned innocence
I can make so many die.
Like the clouds in the sky
That ranges from white to gray
I’m not always destruction
Some will always say.
I watch outside your window
Waiting for you to come out and play
Play to your heart’s content
Play with me all day.
But like most things, I have a flip.
Always searching for a victim
Mercilessly doing off with anything in my way
For I am a predator
Searching for it’s prey.
I can make you stray off your path
Into winter’s bitter wrath
And at the dead of night
Waken you to a fright
Have you figured it out yet?
Yes.
You’ve guessed it.
I am snow,
Nature’s friend and foe.

- Title: Nature's Friend and Foe
- Artist: ~A m b e r~
-
Description:
The poem depicts the idea of snow, being a thing of beauty that many people love, laying a soft blanket of clouds over the earth. But on the other hand, snow is also destruction, giving people frostbite without a second thought, killing away the homeless and taking away all one's comfort.

Just a quick holiday poem I did, back in the 6th grade. I thought it was cute---hope you like it.

poetry speaks like a silent song
silent as the wind
no one hears
people read
a message hides within the words
decipher the word
read the message
understand the pain
the agony
the drift
THE SNOW
