- It's a haiku, smart ones. It follows a set pattern of five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five in the last line. The way I understand it, she is talking about the first snow of winter that comes before Christmas; or perhaps any snow fall that comes before Christmas. For the format used, I believe you did a good job.
