• I was walking through the white snow of the city one bitter night
And a chilling wind crept up ahead of me with terrible might
I turned to face away when an angel caught my view

On this evening of bitterness and loneliness,
There was the creature of all desires
Beautiful she was in all senses of the word

Great sapphires stared back at me
Piercing lips of a cold and simple pink
    Opened and spoke thus:
“Alone tonight on this the eve of Christmas?”

Her pale and gentle features shifted as I responded
“I have nowhere to go tonight. It is just another Christmas.”
She laughed her laugh that chorused the sound of all the bells I’d ever heard and said,
“But tonight you have everywhere to be. Celebrate with your family, with your friends,”

‘Celebrate with those whom you love, but above all, simply celebrate because you are healthy, you are well and walking. You are smiling even now as you stare at me and there are those who love you and will celebrate with you any day. It is a time for mirth.”
I could not speak. My words had been sucked from my heart with her tone.

As I looked at her great robes of white and crimson,
With a simple gesture of her hand she waved her delicate wave.
Her smile was the last thing to disappear as she vanished in the cold city air.
And as I looked at the spot where she had stood, I knew I had met Christmas that night
