Grim Reaper's Sway
See the young man walking down the street?
You'd be a fool to think
That he isn't under the Grim's glare
Though the sun in his heart is aflare
His sickle swings lower as the sands of the hourglass seep through
The ones who escape are very few
And as time flew
The man began to wrinkle
All over his skin were crinkles
The blade started to swipe at his hair
Balding him
His vision slowly started to dim
In the darkness of his room as he rocked in his chair
Thinking to take a dare
With Death himself
As the blade started to graze the scalp he yanked on the sickle
The Grim Reaper fell and laughed as if he felt a tickle
He grinned mischievously and handed to old man an hourglass
The man starred at it with wonder
He thought about the effects of turning it over
But remembered his childhood in Dover
Suddenly the man dropped the hourglass with no emotion
It fell in slow motion
As the Grim starred in fear
And his leer disappeared
The man turned into his youthful twenties
All was refreshed and anew
He cheated death which has been done by very few
