A dismal house with a window bright
A place to go that's always light
Darkness may fall but the window's there
Waiting with a world that's fair
Escape from this stark reality
Become people you'll never be
No longer captive, put on a mask
Say you're playing if they ask
The house may be crumbling over time
But through the window you can climb
Hours, minutes, seconds pending
You'll always have a happy ending

- Title: Window of Light
- Artist: BelleFlower
- Description: People always ask me why I read. They just can't seem to understand why I would put myself through such hard work. Then I hand them one of my favorite books and ask them to read a few chapters. I love to watch the transformation. Books are bridges to other worlds, a message I hope to convey through this metaphorical poem. =]
