During this arc Sasuke who has once held onto the notion of friendship has become consumed by hatred and revenge. Through the corruption of Tobi, Sasuke has become cruel and ruthless, even sacrificing and killing anyone who stands in his way. His Susano'o represents the dark change within Sasuke; as he is ultimately a victim of Shinobi world's cycle of hatred.
