Reason why you don't see many black mages is because people prefer to do Vivi (who looks like a black mage from the original one) or people mistake it for Vivi...
However, I've seen Black mages and I've seen better ones...
One thing you could of used is the cool pirate pants (i think that's what they're called). IT would have matched better than your current pants...

- I havent seen a black mage done here before. maybe I didnt look back far enough. but I didnt "copy" anyone (iiPower). It seemed plain without something more so I added the aura and if there was a black mage done some time ago it didnt have several of the items I do here. I could have chosen a better staff but there arent many here on gaia that fit very well or are of fine enough quality to use.
