- Description: Hal Jordan was the greatest of the Green Lantern Corps. Then his home of Coast City was destroyed, millions died. Hal felt guiltyso he used his ring to recreate the city and its people. He was almost at peace with what happened when his bosses(Guardians) stopped him. He went mad and flew to OA to destroy the Guardians. Hal succeeded and destroyed the entire Corps as well. He then absorbed the Power Battery and became Parallax.

- In later comics it was revealed that the entity of Fear, the Parallax had invaded Hal and made him commit his crimes against the Corps. Hal was made into a Green Lantern again.
