The skin doesn't work very well, I suggest using red body dye instead.
If that looks awkward, there might be other options, but nothing really jumps to mind other than red body dye to match the reference image.
There are also better vests you could use.
He doesn't look very angry in this picture, only a tad bit unhappy. Perhaps you could change his expression?
