Belle is a bookworm who one day falls upon dark fortune when she's taken to the Beast's castle under an agreement made by her father and the Beast--eventually Belle falls in love with the Beast and finds the kind-hearted human inside him.
Unlike the original story the writers felt they had to enhance Belle from her original self them making her "unaware" of her own beauty and "a little eccentric" from her original counterpart.
