I am Commander John Shepard, A Soldier assigned to the SSV Normandy as Executive Officer.
Being earthborn I had a rough childhood. I enlisted at 18 to avoid falling into gang culture that was sweeping my planet. During my service I was on a mission on Akuze and I lost my crew to a Thrasher Maw attack. I have since joined the Spectres, an elite special task force for the Citadel Council.
