I would not consider my entry as an Original submission because Bob Ross is a real person, i did not make him up. I just thought it would be fun to use a base not as commonly used for this because Animals are now finally getting enough items for me to expand out and do things like this. I think its cute to use a base thats obviously not human to represent a human. Because its pretend, its cosplay. Its just for fun. Thats the whole point of dressing up, for fun. Its not going to be exact. -

I'm going to have to disagree. It shouldn't matter what base I use because its a cosplay. Its just supposed to represent that person, not be that exact person. Of course you want to get as close as possible, but Cosplay is about dressing like someone for fun regardless of who is dressing up. It would be like not allowing a girl to dress as Captain America at a Con because Cap is a man. It doesnt matter, its just a cosplay.

but bob ross is a human - and until the animal bases appeared, people had to dress as animals such as pokemon. to be honest i much prefer people using animal bases for animal characters now that its available to them. this avatar couldve easily been done as a human, your choice to use an animal base is an original one. its the same with genderbends that do no appear in series. adventure time is a classic example

Animal avatars should be able to cosplay people/characters. I don't understand why this seems to be such a problem. Human avatars can dress up as animals and no one says anything, but if an Animal dresses as a person it's wrong?

Though the entry is adorable, it would not fit into the cosplay category since you are not cosplaying as the person Bob Ross as a human, but portraying him in an animal form.
