Azusa is the fifth member to join the Light Music Club at Sakuragaoka High School. While a year behind her fellow band mates she is more focused on actually playing music than her senpais. Eventually she adapts and learns to relax and drink tea with her friends.
During an earlier session with the other club members the clubs advisor, Sawako brought a pair of cat ears for Azusa to put on. Once she puts them on Yui gives her the nickname "Azu-nyan" much to her chagrin.
