- Title: The Burning Monk
- Artist: phydeoux
- Description: On June 11, 1963, Thich Quang Duc, a Buddhist monk in Vietnam, burned himself to death in the middle of downtown Saigon. He assumed the traditional lotus position as his fellow monks poured gasoline over him. He used a match to ignite himself and burned to death. David Halberstam, a reporter for the New York Times stated that he never moved a muscle, or made a sound as he engulfed himself in flames. Thich Quang Duc's remains were later cremated and legend has it that his heart would not burn.

- Wow, what a cool idea... I mean, it's a serious subject matter, but the avatar looks cool and I just learned something. It's amazing how he didn't even move or struggle... it's very symbolic, admirable. The first 5/5 today, I hope you win smile

- It's really interesting since not only you are making a resemblance of the picture but also a fact from history. I never knew about this and my background is Vietnamese so it was nice seeing some culture in the arena.
