"An image came to her, that she was like a sparrow in a golden cage. She enlarged on the image, that cages are made for big colorful birds who show off their plumage [...] She felt she was quite different, like a sparrow, inconspicuous and energetic, who wants to fly around and take off on its own, who is not made for a cage."

- I'm glad someone's doing an avatar on something as serious as anorexia. You're very right, anorexia is an extremely complicated disorder, and it's great that someone is trying to address it in a place where a lot of young people who are more likely to be affected by it will see it. Much love for the avi, 5 out of 5 since I can't go higher.

@Doctor: I have a deep appreciation for 'simple' avatar. Clutter doesn't appeal to me, and I think creating an eye-pleasing or meaningful avi out of carefully selected items takes more skill than throwing together a bunch of expensive items for glam. >_>

- Wow. I'm surprised and humbled by the positive feedback. I truly thought more people would be flinging sticks and rating low just because, but I'm pleasantly surprised. I was very apprehensive about entering such a politically charged avatar, especially one addressing such a misunderstood disorder. Apparently, I was worried over nothing. Thank you to those who have voted so far!
