Aysu is a water fairy whose stories have been passed down for centuries, each story different from the other, some depicting her as a fairy who saves the lives of people caught in storms at sea others making her seem almost witch like, but the most popular and most recent of all stories are only from a few years ago, these are the ones that portray her as a beautiful guardian of the lake Suyama.
