The doll itself was passed down from daughter to daughter of all descended from Huizong of Song, though sometimes moving to a different branch of the family. During the Chinese Civil War, Wun had sided with the CPC, as its current client was a Communist. Eventually, Wun was retired as a guardian, allowed to roam the world as it saw fit.
