Description:
Inari Okami is the Japanese god of foxes, tea, rice, sake, farming, blacksmiths, warriors, and fertility. Inari was dipicted as a man, a woman and an androgynous figure throughout the Shinto and Edo eras, as foxes were shapeshifters. Kitsune are depicted as very mischievous and a type of yokai, which translates to 'demons' or 'spirits', and Kitsune are more well known as demon foxes in English.
Inari's foxes were used as messengers and usually pure white. - Date: 02/11/2015
