- Once upon a time, there lived a maiden, whose heart knew no bounds, nor darkness, and whose face bore nothing but infinite beauty and gentleness. In these lands, there too lived a man, whose dark heart did hide behind his attractive features. He sought out such loveliness and the maiden, pure in mind, body, and soul, did fall for him. But, not soon after, when he had taken from her what he willed, leaving her crippled, bitter, and dry, did she learn the sad truth:

- there was only darkness in this world. And this darkness hid in the hearts of men. It was then that she swore vengeance, selling the very pure soul she once clung to, in order to have it. And before long, it was vengeance she did have, not only from the man who betrayed her...but to all men who ever would. But, atop her pile of corpses, the Dark Mistress is still not satisfied.
