    Now, unless you were not paying attention at all in the beginning, my name is Cloud Strife. Or just Cloud; I really don't want you calling me by first and last name. Anyway, I can't say I'm too interested in speaking right now; the life of the planet is at stake. Most of you are probably familiar with me being in SOLDIER, but that's all in the past now. Why am I saying this? Well, it does have to do with the life of the planet, especially since SOLDIER and ShinRA are involved in the "destruction" of mother earth. Because these unions require the use of mako energy, I am now in AVALANCHE, which fights against all those who wish to destroy and steal from the lifestream ..<br />

    .. There was a time when I didn't know who I was ..<br />
    It bothered and confused me. I was terrified. Terrified of who I was, and I didn't even understand who I was at all. I had no idea all of my hallucinations were caused by a high concentration of mako injection. But thanks to those images, those events, I discovered myself. I wasn't like him, eventhough I had first dedicated my life to being like him. Sephiroth, the great soldier, had once been my idol. I looked up to him, I trusted him. And Zack, well, old friends have to leave sometime. But .. it wasn't because of SOLDIER that I discovered myself .. No. It was because of a certain person, no, through the help of many others, that helped me to discover my true self. Tifa, Aeris, and all the others, thank you .. SOLDIER and ShinRA may have seemed like great organizations at one point, but .. I was young then .. Now, without them, I can walk my own path and fight for what I really believe in. I'm searching for someone. For my light. And once I obtain it, will the darkness surrounding me cease to exist? <br />
