• Artist Info: This takes place after the fifth book, but before the first of the next series!!! ^^ Well, here goes! Tell me what y'all think!

"No! What have I done?" I cried out. I held her crumpled, bloody, lifeless body in my arms tightly and cried. I killed her. My blade made all of these gashes and cuts all over her arms, legs, and stomach. Her scarlet blood continued to ooze out, but much more slower than before. Most of the blood came from a chest wound where a small hole was.

I squeezed my eyes shut and brought her close to my chest, "I'm so sorry, Annabeth. I'm so sorry." My tears slide down my dirty face and dripped from my chin and landed on her cheek.

"What are you sorry for, Seaweed brain?" I could almost hear her say even though her last words were spoken hours ago. "It was an accident. I wasn't watching myself." She said these words to me what felt like a life time ago. We had been sword fighting in the sword arena at Camp Half Blood when I accidentally slashed at her arm, exposing a long cut on her fore arm. It had started to bleed heavily and I kept apologizing.

"No it wasn't." I whispered. I slowly opened my eyes and brushed a a few strands of her blond hair off of her face. Her eyes were closed and her mouth slightly opened. She had a deep cut on her temple and another on her cheek. Her face was caked with dirt, sweat, and blood, but even then, she still looked beautiful.

"I love you, Annabeth..." I said, meaning each word. "But, I shouldn't have done this. None of this should have happened!" With that, I looked up and scanned the silent battle field.

Demigods lay scattered around the blood-stained grass, most of them in broken heaps. All of them were dead and motionless. Swords, bows and arrows, axes and spears and shields laid everywhere. A satyr and a cyclops were somewhere among the hundreds of dead, they too, having their own life taken from them.

I felt numb. My whole body felt different in a way i couldn't describe, and not in a good way. I wanted to puke my insides up. I wanted to pull my hair out. I wanted to tear my own limbs off my body. I wanted to... I wanted to die. Just like how my own friends did; murdered by their own supposedly friend.

My eyes stopped wondering around the graveyard and rested on a bronze shield that was dented in many places. It was angled at the right angle, giving me a reflection of a sixteen year old teen with jet black hair and bright green eyes. The reflection showed me all of his wounds and blood, but what I starred at was the kids eyes. My eyes. They were dull and lifeless. In a way, dead.

I quickly turned away and looked down to where the love of my life laid dead in my arms. Without even thinking about it, one of my hands, the one that was holdings hers, untangled itself and fell to the ground. It twitched and then had a mind of it's own.

The hand started to search the ground not stopping until it grasped the hilt of what it was looking for.

I blinked my lifeless eyes and looked down. The familiar weight felt nice in my hand as i lifted my loyal sword, Riptide up. I pointed the tip to where my heart is.

"I can't survive knowing that I killed my friends.... I.... I'm so sorry, everyone." I said to the dead, even though they couldn't hear me. Then, I moved my wrist and in one quick motion, had the blade sailing straight towards my heart, hoping that i would feel the pain from my lost friends . . . . . .

That's it so far. What do you think???
