In a world of magic many creatures, common and rare, friendly and hostile, exist. Some of which may not co-exist with another species or may not wish to co-exist at all. Two species however came together and created something that just shouldn't have been able to exist.

The first species of creatures were the humans. They may not have been the most peaceful people but there was peace among them. They lived in rather stable environments where they could easily grow there own food and live comfortably. Over the years there was no need for the human race to develop any...different features that would aid their survival. Other creatures that didn't have such pleasantries saw the human race as "soft" or "weak" and began to pick on the humans. At first it was just simply demanding food from the humans and for a while that seemed to be a good system. That was until a strange but temporary shift in climate occurred. A harsh winter came in and destroyed a good portion of the human's crops leaving little for the humans to eat and far too little for them to give away. It wasn't until then that a race of Minotaurs had actually decided to sample their providers of food. They weren't the last either. It was then that humans weren't people or slaves any longer, they were now a source of food. It was then humans finally relinquished they peaceful ways and took up fighting.

All the creatures they thought they had known were now enemies. This sparked a revolution among the humans which was based off fear. As the humans fought for their lives they began to trust people of other species less and less and separated them selves from anything that just wasn't human. They were simply afraid of anything that wasn't like them.

Our second species is that of the Dragons. Now contrary to popular belief the dragon species wasn't just fire attributed they could harness just about any attribute and element in nature. The Dragons were very, very in tune with their surroundings, they respected nature and everything in it. What many people don't know is that because of this respect the dragons were granted strange abilities that allowed them to use magic as well as the things in nature around them. All in all the dragons were a good group of people but very very miss understood. It was an error of judgment that caused their ultimate downfall. Dragons of fire either satisfy their hunger by gulping down a large amount of lava or devouring a large amount of soot. One of these dragons decided to burn down a field of tall grass that he presumed to be uninhabited. As he scorched the land below him he inadvertently murdered two children who were playing within the grass. This act of man slaughter sparked a rather dangerous campaign which was sparked by none other than the humans.

While the humans slaughtered the dragons for revenge other species did it for the scales and horns of the dragons. What ever attribute they seemed to have had a different type effect when it came to Alchemy. More and more of these dragons were killed each and every year and their numbers just continued to dwindle until the eldest of the dragons were left.

With the number of dragons reduced to near zero the last of the dragons, six of seven attributed dragons had released their spirits and chose one of six temples to reside in, each of which matched their attribute. There was one dragon however who decided to wait out his final days on the planet. His name was Nikolai and he was one of the first dragons to exist.
