    10 years- mother got sick and died, Ed and Al tried to bring her back but failed Ed lost a leg and Al lost his body, Ed sacrificed his arm to put his brothers soul into a suit of armor. Ed got automail<br />
    12 years-Became a state alchemist<br />
    15 years-continued his search for the Philosiphers stone. Ended up on earth bringing his brother back.<br />
    18 years- Opened up the gate and returned to his planet. went back to earth to close the gate, brother followed him.<br />
