She's a beautiful dilute calico, and she has a personality that's larger than the universe. She has been with me for over 8 years, she's my baby girl and the love and passion of my life. She's been my only constant in my life besides a few real good friends of mine, and she's been my support and reason for waking up in the morning for the past year. <br />

I don't care where she's been in life, or what monsters haunt her. <br />
When I look in her eyes, I see her, not what she comes from or what people think of her.<br />
That doesn't matter to me, neither should it, because the fact of life is that I come from a personal hell too, and I have monsters clawing at my back every time I take a step forward.<br />
I may not be the best of people, I do and say things that I shouldn't, and sometimes my thoughts are not the nicest.<br />
I don't want to be her knight, and I do want to protect her and take her from her prison.<br />
My princess may not be seen as the prettiest, or the smartest, but she's mine, and to me, she is the best.<br />
She fights my monsters as much as I would fight hers, and I don't have to be the forever hero.<br />
I can be strong, but with her I can let my guard down.<br />
With her, I don't have to worry about what will happen if I'm away.<br />
With her, it's safe to fall.<br />
