NAME: Kavvana Gibbs [OC]

PRONOUNCED: Ka~vaghn~ah / Kah~Vah~Nah

GENDER: Male

AGE: Unknown, but he looks around 21

APPEARANCE: He has long black hair that is usually tied loosely, however when he is parading about he prefers to wear it down; whenever it hits the light it shines a deep crimson red. He has dark tanned skin, but not so much as to look foreign, and black eyes that are cloudy and appear gray. There is a scar under his left eye that is barely visible to others, but is all too noticeable for him. He has sharp canines that appear to be fangs that only reveal themselves when he talks. He stands about 6'3" and wears all black, mostly leather and belt buckles. Around his neck is a black velvet choker with a strange symbol made of sterling silver that he is unable to remove.

PERSONALITY: Kavvana is mostly short-tempered, but he remains serious yet also curious. Observatory (when his impatient temperament doesn't get in the way). He is mysterious and likes to do things his way even though others may protest. He is mostly defiant and hates to rely on others.

HISTORY: Kavvana doesn't remember much of his childhood, but he knows he was an orphan until someone took him in around the age of 12. They raised him like a normal child, until his potential was seen. The thing he wears around his neck was given to him as a 'gift' when he reached, what was declared his 16 birthday. He has never been able to take it off since. The scar on his left eye is a horrible memory to him, and also a curse. He is a descendant of the fallen angel, Lucifer, though he currently has no idea. An odd bit of random information (which was NOT planned by me at all... It was creepy actually. xD) is that Kavvana can be translated in Hebrew to mean "Heart's desire to unite with God". O__o Imagine my surprise when I learned this.

WEAPON: A long black staff topped with a curved blade (similar to a scythe) that he commonly uses as a lance.

SPECIES: Kavvana is in a class of his own, unsure of his heritage. While he is DEFINITELY not human, it remains to be seen what species of demon he is. The truth he does not yet understand, is that he is a Nephilim, which is the offspring of a human and a fallen angel. [Mentioned in Genesis Chapter 6, right before the big flood. They are also known as Titans, Giants, and Heroes of Old.] It is a race of mixed blooded demons, and it is said that the Anti-Christ will be of this race...

GOOD OR EVIL?: Kavvana hates humans, and admires vampires for their strength and immortality which he does not yet possess. He would never find himself helping a human out of the goodness of his heart, but when he chooses to do something, he does it. He would have himself called 'evil and dark'.

A Fragment of Kavvana's Final Chapter...
~An excerpt from his tale~
Kavvana stood on a pathway... a cobblestone pathway...
'Where am I?' He thought looking around. He could see nothing but darkness, and the thin cobblestone pathway at his feet. A creaking sound was heard from behind him. What on earth?
He caught sight of a dimly lit face. The skin was dark, like his own, and the hair was a beautiful silky black which reached below the figure's waist. On his left eye was a mark... a scar...
For a moment, Kavvana thought he was looking at a future version of himself... but something radiated from this figure. Something ancient and powerful...
"Who are you?" He questioned, trying not to stutter. The figure just stared, seriously, at Kavvana. Kavvana noticed a marking on the man's shoulder, and jumped as four black wings unfolded from his back. A red aura emitted from behind him.
...Wait... This couldn't be...
"Lu-Lucifer?" He stuttered, frozen in awe. The figure's eyes burned with a dark crimson flame.
"You ask who I am, boy?" Kavvana shuddered. There was great excitement building up inside of him, but also great fear. What did this great entity want with him?
"...Am I dead?" Kavvana questioned looking around. He could see only darkness surrounding him...
"Dead? No... But you are on the edge of it..." The last thing Kavvana remembered... Ame had her fingers wrapped around his choker... and then a deep internal pain split across his body.
"What exactly do you want from me?" Kavvana questioned. The figure laughed.
"You have no idea of the pain and suffering which was branded upon you the very day you were born... Your name, 'Kavvana' meaning 'a light in the dark'."
"...I don't-" The figure silenced him.
"You have a pathway you stand upon at this instant..." Kavvana looked down at his feet. Sure enough, the cobblestone pathway was visible again. It went straight, but then split into three separate pathways, which vanished into the darkness. "You have a choice you must make. One path will lead to pain and sorrow. Another path will lead you to more trails and troubles. The final pathway will lead you to confusion, and ultimately destruction."
"So you want me to choose... which pathway?"
"The first pathway will lead to your demise, but also your victory. The second pathway will lead you to exile, but you will live on... The third and final pathway might lead you to temporary happiness, but you will become a slave and your entire life will be a failure." Kavvana shook his head.
"They all sound... horrible. Isn't there another way?"
"You were born in the corners of paradise, boy. From the moment your heart first began to beat, you had a purpose. There is no way to deify it, but you may fight against it. I will leave you now... choose wisely. I hope to see you at the end." The figure vanished suddenly, the red aura vanishing as well. Kavvana looked ahead at the three choices, and three outcomes. Swallowing thickly, he took a step forward, and chose his path...
