Welcome!<br />
Anyway, I'm smartdancerchick, a name that I really don't like any more. Mostly, it's far too long, so most people on Gaia just call me sdc. However, my real name is Lauren, and I live in Texas. I'm seventeen and a senior in high school (Woot!). I spend too much time slacking off (and not studying for classes), though I still somehow manage to pass with all A's. Most people say that I'm harsh on myself. My time spent studying varies from Calculus to SAT to AP English to Programming, and my time slacking off is spent on various things - mostly my hobbies. <br />
Obviously, from my user name, you can guess that I love to dance. I'm taking tap, ballet, jazz, and modern at the moment, and I've been dancing for more than ten years. Then, there's my old-lady-ish hobby of knitting. I've been knitting for three or four years now and hope to never forget my knitting needles for study hall when I don't have homework. I mostly knit scarves (including AWESOME Harry Potter ones) but I'm trying to learn how to knit more than just that. I also love web design, which lends itself to profile design on Gaia. I've been designing webpages for nearly five years. I maintain two club websites at my school, as well as the OMGitsSTEPH fansite. XDDD I spend the rest of my time listening to music, hanging with my friends and being absolutely lazy.<br />
As for Gaia, I’ve been a gaian for three years. My first few months on gaia were relatively slow (I didn’t believe in posting at the time). After that, I’ve posted everyday I can, making many great friends. I spend most of my time in FTLOP, a poll guild that is teh awesome.<br />

This section is for displaying whatever I feel proud of, whenever I feel accomplished. It may range from profiles I’ve designed, to things I’ve knitted, to grades on super-hard tests. So, for the first spotlight item…..<br />
My fantastic Harry Potter scarf. A couple of years ago, when I was first learning how to knit, I knitted all of my friends at school scarves for Christmas. However in the madness of it, I had ran out of time to knit one for myself. So, sometime the following March, I knitted this scarf for myself, using my newly-learned purl stitch. Since then, all of my friends have loved the scarf and I’ve had to make other Gryffindor scarves for people who requested them. The scarf itself is not hard to knit at all; it’s weaving in all the ends from the 21 sections that is so time consuming! I’ll put a picture up soon enough >.><br />
