• There was once an ordinary girl, she had brown hair, lived in a small town, and had lot's of wonderful friends. This girl had hopes and dreams and wasn't afraid to live her life. But as her years of adolescence began, she progressively grew sicker until she ended up in the hospital. The doctors told her she didn't have much longer, and that she should just pretend things were still normal, and go on. But she refused, she refused to not get the word out, she refused to let people miss the same cold, hard fact she had. That you'd better make something memorable out of your life before it's swept out from under you. She told all of her friends what was going on, her whole school really. And her fellow students spent the year making memories. It all ranged from crazy stunts to helping others. When the girl's time was almost up, the group took a camping trip and lay under the stars. The girl looked back on all she had done, and was proud of herself, because she hadn't just rolled over and died, she had really done something. And so she whispered to the sky that night, "You are so beautiful, little stars. I wonder what it's like looking down at us from all the way up there. I'll bet it's as pretty as you; looking down on this world. And I'm ready to join you, I'm ready if you need me there." The next day the girl didn't feel quite right, so her mom took her to the doctors. The girl found out that she wasn't sick anymore. " I wonder what cured you," her mother said. The girl just smiled and thought, "I guess the stars don't need me quite yet." And so from that day on, the girl and her friends celebrated life every year, and went on into the world happy and courageous.
Don't wait for death to affect you, go do those things you've always wanted to because you only get one life, and wouldn't you rather look back at it thinking it was a fun ride, instead of, oh , I wish I would've done this and that?
