• Okay. So back in 8th grade, we had a long-term sub for science. Our teacher had a baby and had to leave. We were left with this crazy sub who didn't know anything. One day, he made one of the pranksters answer a question on the board: 2 + 2 = ___. The kid, we'll call him Jack for his own privacy, went up and wrote 4. The teacher, let's call him Mr. Jones, said that the answer was wrong. Jack wasn't very smart to begin with, but he was smart enough to know what 2+2 was. He argued, saying the answer was four. Mr. Jones continued to say it wasn't, and soon the whole class was screaming that the answer was four. The teacher soon got really mad and threatened that if anyone said four again, he would sent them to the principal. Jack then said five. He was soon gone. We kept screaming four every time Mr. Jones asked a question. He decided to give us a test where all the answers were fill in the blank numbers. We had to spell out the numbers instead of writing the numbers. When the bell finally rang, we all screeched FOUR! and ran out of the room. From that day to now, four is our little inside joke. Every time we see that sub, we say four quietly and wait for him to remember it.
