• Look with your eyes.
You look with your mind, don't you? Look out your window, right now.
    What do you see?
Was it a tree? Some grass? Some pavement?
You were looking with your mind. You saw what you knew was there. That's OK. Most people do, most of the time. It's nothing to be ashamed of.
    Now look with your eyes.
Don't see the tree. See the smooth bark, riddled here and there randomly with pocks and marks. Look at the pavement. See the gritty texture of concrete, the subtle colouration caused by the rain. Don't see the sunlight; see the intricate play of shadows, the brilliant glare of the sunbeams.
Look with your eyes, and you see the world with new eyes every day.
