• I stared down the lizard that had positioned itself on my dresser. It's tongue flicked out at me and I smiled. "Silly lizard. Go outside." I giggled. I kept staring into it's endless amber eyes. It stared back unblinking. I knew that if I tried to move it outside, it would scamper away. I sighed as I averted my gaze to my itchy red legs. My ghostly skin burned unnaturally easily. The burns were scattered all the way from my ears to my plump butt. It had gotten plump from the mexican pastries I had been indulging in. There had been no swim practice for three weeks, thus no calorie burning. My dad had made me do ten pushup for him because my form sucked and I could barely get to the fifth. Another sigh filled the room. The boiling sun was burning through the windows of my room, mocking me with the offering of more red burns.
