• The camera flick on and the news broadcast begins. A young man sits at his desk, staring down with sadness evident on his face. He looks up to the cameras, holding his head in a mourning manner. He then begins to speak, and says...

"My fellow eSouth Africans, we are in a grim time. Attacked from all sides by heretics and rebels. The attackers have used some of the most underhanded attacks to get where they are. They show they are indeed weak and ignorant by such an attack. Our government has been infiltrated, and is being taken over. I find myself questioning now only how, but why they would go this far. Why this far? I can tell you, my answer shall not be given easily. It will come with hate and fights. So, I stand with the question unasked. I dare not ask for I do not wish to fight, to hate and be hated.

Attacked within by heretics and rebels; PTOers and hackers. I will say I was sadly disappointed, and infuriated when I heard their attack on Ines. She was a sweet young lady, and this has ruined her reputation on eRepublik in other nations. We may run about, screaming our plea to listen to us to other nations, but our cries to understand Ines is not the culprit falls on deaf ears. We look now to ourselves to lead our nation. Now, I ask myself once again, for the first time speaking out against the ignorance that plagues our great nation. Why this far? This is suppose to be about having fun. Expressing your opinions to a reasonable extent. Helping people and giving new ideas that help eRepublik.

They may say 'But Damien, that's what we're doing!', but with a few curse words, and possibly a few words aimed to lower my name. Are people having fun? Is Ines having fun as she waits to see if she may be perm. banned due to someones ignorance? Are eSouth Africans having fun as they see hackers and PTOers trying to take over the government? Am I happy to see the possible end of a friend, and my own end at that? No, I don't think so. Many may agree with them, but they are their thugs and rebels.

Now, they may say 'Well, you said we can express our opinion, I do that every day.', and yes, you do. But I said to a reasonable extent. Is a reasonable extent having a hacker forcibly remove your most feared opponent? Is a reasonable extent putting her in to an Anti-Semetic party created by MuscleRoller, is that reasonable? Is yelling Anti-Semetic quotes, and blabbing on about how the Jewish religion is the reason we are where we are, and why people die and lose everything reasonable? The hell it is. It's unreasonable, and outright the most ignorant of this all.

And last, they say 'Well, we're giving out ideas, and making them happen.' Oh, right, brilliant ideas. Ideas are suppose to not only help yourself, but the people, the nation, and eRepublik. Removing Ines from the picture, and moving her to an Anti-Semitic party, so the nation is without a president and Ines' reputation is destroyed; helpful idea, yes? No, awful. Creating an Anti-Semitic party, and expressing ideals about hating the Jewish religion; good idea, huh? Are you idiots? Of course it isn't, it's completely ignorant and shows you are scared enough to express hate on a people that have done nothing wrong. Are these ideas helping the people, nation, or eRepublik? No, they're not helping anyone but the PTOers and thugs. People are angry, the nation is angrier, and eRepublik watches people quit. Did that help anyone? No, it caused stress. It caused a nation to become divided. It caused eRepublik to lose brilliant creators of ideas and some of the best people I know.

I look now at the future, and I don't see one with roads paved in gold. I see roads drenched in blood. I saw a future with some peace, but that painting has been slowly washed out. Washed away by the tide of ignorance and hate that now drowns the world of eRepublik. There is no escape. For all of the loved ones gone. We look now to not our government, but to ourselves; our friends and loved ones. 'A house divided cannot stand' a great man once said. We must stand together.. Just like the myth of Pandora; the only thing left, at the very bottom of the urn, was hope. With Hades on Gaia, hope was the only thing that could stop the evils from winning. Don't give up hope. Not as I have..

I will retort; we must not give up hope.

My fellow South Africans, we stand here today, in the presence of tyranny. We stand divided, but equal. We stand with hate, but with love for our friends and loved ones. We stand against tyranny, with a hope of democracy.

I, myself, will not be standing with you, brother and sisters. In your heart, you know it to be true. You know what you gotta do. They all depend on you.

This is Damien Khallos, R.L. name Samuel L. French, signing out for the last time.
Good night, good day, good luck, and may you prosper, my brothers and sisters.

    May hope prosper.."

Damien sits back and his head hangs low. The camera people look to one another and the screens of T.V.'s turn blank.

As of 12:41 A.M. CST, Tuesday December 15, 2009; Damien Khallos has died. An eRepublik member who only few knew, and who few knew him. A man with kindness in his heart, even in the presence of Exilious. A young man who created short stories, and hoped that eRepublik would accept them. His dream lives on, but Damien Khallos is forgotten. Laid rest, returning to mother, to return no more. Forever's not so long.
