Beauty
By George Freeman
All my life I have searched for beauty. I never found it. Those were the last words of my grandfather before he faded into oblivion. So I took up the call. And ten years later I still searched. Past the known world, past all caring, only searching for beauty. It evaded me. The world never saw me. I just searched. And finally I found it. It was not love not innocence, not nature. No it is surviving, fighting for the ones who they do not know, yet still caring. It is human compassion. That is beauty.
