• Introduction
There are two types of living in this world, the privileged and the unprivileged. They’re simple to define really, but for those of you who don’t know, here’s what they are.
For the unprivileged, life isn’t easy. It’s a constant challenge that none of us get through alive. We make mistakes and have regrets. We get messed up and always have problems. As a human being, all we have are problems. Our brain creates dreams and fantasy to take us away, momentarily, from our boring, insignificant, useless lives. This is how it is for many of us; we’re on the back of the bus. We struggle only to barely make it; our family is either extremely close or nonexistent. We get into drugs, alcohol and sex and most of the time we grow up to become nothing and mean nothing. We have low class ******** up crazy lives and if we’re really lucky, we just might make something of ourselves.
Now the privileged is easier to describe. It’s simply the unprivileged life minus the low class, back of the bus, and barely making it part. The only difference between the two is that the privileged people have money to throw away on attempting to be happy.
Well my name is Lucy Kardell and to those reading this, my life is one of those privileged, screwed up crazy ones. Money couldn’t solve my problems though; it couldn’t change me or fix me. I was still just a screwed up teen, fixated on drugs, alcohol and sex. My highs had been my haven for a long time. It took one week with a man I thought I loved, just to have my life ruined. For some unexplained reason though, I was saved.
