You heartlessly rejected me.

My heart is torn in pieces because of you.
It's broken, shattered, irreparable.

My heart is too dark now to care I don't deserve you.
I want, need, your caring words, your warming gaze,
a loving kiss, your strong embrace.
I try so futilely to placate that longing.

My heart bleeds black because of you.
You've ripped it, shattered it, damaged it beyond recognition with pain.
