• Description: This is my thrid poem, be kind!! I wrote this because my girlfriend and i are having...troubles, and i got inspiration from the heart pendant that i hold that im going to give her...or not. I will wear it on my left hand, on my middle finger, and it will remind me of my love, like i need to be reminded. ~Heart in My Hand~

Tell me now,

why I have this heart in my hand?

It glitters like diamonds,

and shines in the sun.

It makes me feel like I have run,

from the feelings that have encaged me,

encased me,

in my love.

The love that I have refused,

to set free like a dove.

The pink gems sparkle at me,

mock me,

for falling for this game,

this trap.

Perhaps,

just on more lap,

around the borders of my mind,

my heart,

will fulfill my thoughts.

I flip the heart over,

it caresses my knuckles.

The band around my finger tightens,

in strain,

my heart beats in pain.

I love her,

is that too much to ask?

Yet she is heartbroken,

from another,

while I,

who love her more than my brother,

feels guilt,

for her pain.

Tell me now,

why do I have this heart in my hand?

I love her,

too much to ask,

and this heart represents my love and pain.

Its very deep I must say. One thing I am lost on is this verse:
"who love her more than my brother" It either means she cheated on you with your brother or you simply mistyped the verse.
