Born as a delicate bud
Sprouting from the ground
This blooming rose began so small
And had ripened as it grew in scarlet beauty.
The drops of rain on the pure petals
Exposed such soft elegance
As the plant absorbed the water
To survive the scorching hot day
That was to come.
But study this sweet rose,
And you'll see beneath the splendor
There are sharp thorns deep within the stem
That can easily p***k the finger.
- Title: The Beauty of a Red Rose
- Artist: Haughty Siren
- Description: I always read short poetry based on roses and I guess I felt inspired to create this one. But unlike some of the other poems I’ve read, I wanted to make this one unique in it’s own way. While I was typing the poem, I realized I was reflecting the rose as a human being. This is my own unique writing and thank you for reading my poem
