    for our respective bodies
    and the fact that we're alive
    and we wouldn't particularly burden the gene pool
    were we to procreate
    it may be just the thing
    to cure humanity of its ailments
    or we could simply perform the act
    for no purpose other than the pleasure
    of each others' most desirable company
    in a state in which only we two can engage
    at this point i would seriously consider this option
    whereas you and i have the correctly corresponding organs
    we can share pheromones and endorphins
    chromosomes and fleeting adrenaline
    in fleeting moments of passion
    we could either help the cause
    or remain indifferent to it
    and to everything else
    but to each other.
