One Last Goodbye

We said this friendship would keep moving on forever like the wind,
but now we’ve reached a point where forever has to end.

There’s been times were I’ve prayed for you through the night,
and in those times our friendship was strong in might.

But just like everything that lives has to die,
so does this friendship in this last goodbye.

So I’m saying that I’ll still be praying,
even in those times your hopes would be fading.

I don’t really know whats next for you,
but I know in what ever you do,

That everything is gonna be alright,
as long you keep saying those prayers in the dark nights.

So don’t ever give up, and always stay strong,
and whenever things get down…just keep moving on.

Wow. It reminded me of the times that my friends had moved away. Even then, sometimes it was bitter sweet in a way-this poem for some reason stirs that bitter sweet feeling in me. I'm not quite sure if that was what you intended for the reader to feel, but that's the impression I got from it. I do hope you write more poems and such in the future, if you already haven't.

Aww...its really sweet. I particularly like the first line it really drew me in. I found this poem quite touching as it made me think about the time when my best friend moved away. I almost felt like crying when I read the last line...Thanks for sharing your beautiful poem.
