Heartbroken

• Description: This is a poem that I wrote a few years ago. When me and my first boyfriend broke up.
  Its nothing special but it was one of the first major poems I wrote. And I don't necessarily feel the same way now I'm much better.

heart Heartbroken heart
You toke me as a joke
When I told you that I could be easily broke.
First you made me feel as though I loved you madly.
Then you made me hurt so badly.
Even though you put me through hell
I helped you up when you fell.
I would try and try
But everything we were was simply a lie
You told me that you would always be there.
And you told me that you always care.
Where were you when I needed you the most ?
Chillin' with your new girlfriend on another coast
You made me cry
And I'll never forgive you till the day I die.
You left me feeling cold and alone.
And now I'm so happy that you're gone.
But forever your image will remain in my heart.
And it will always be, till death do its part.
I don't miss you
And I'm glad you left cause you gave me time to think our relationship through.
I don't think about you everyday.
And I really wish I was joking when I say.....
You took my heart and ripped it right open.
And for that I will always remain heartbroken.
