-
A heavy cloud, a gentle mist,
A grassy hill, by sunlight kissed,
A man knelt down, before an upright stone
Hands clasped tight, sadness shown,
A glimmering tear, fallen to the ground,
A horse in wait, that makes no sound,
The birds are silent, as if out of respect,
The weeping willow by the pool,
the man's wet eyes reflect,
The grass on the ground, and the clouds in the sky,
Filled with moisture, as if they might cry,
Cursed is the world, plagued by sin,
For man lives upon it, and is buried within.

- Title: Tombstone
- Artist: Ryan Russell
- Description: This is a piece I wrote in my Freshman year. I guess I was of a more contemplative mood at the time. Anyways, I thought you might enjoy this and I know that many people relate to the emotions presented.

- I love the feel of the poem - it really is sort of 'contemplative'. The rhythm is off in a few places, which throws off the balance a bit, but apart from that, it flows nicely. Good description too. smile
