Hero

• Artist: Liquid Robot
• Description: I wanted to write about someone leaving, but the world doesn't really need another 'wail! you left me, you A-plus big JERK!' poem, so I thought I'd do it from a different perspective, although I don't agree with whoever's point of view this is. In a sense, the 'jerk' poems inspired this one in that I felt like I was writing either a reply or a prequel to them.

It's a small song
To sing you goodnight
Sing you goodbye

And the lullaby will be
One day
Looked on so preciously
A work of fine art
And all for you

Am I not such a hero
Despite the fact
That I left you?
