    I pant and breathe heavily watching my feet,
    I'm almost thrown off balance as my fear starts to catch up with me
    Darkness and the moons luminous light are all I see

    Something is after my soul and heart,
    I don't remember my world being this dark
    Tears of fear run down my face,
    I wipe them away leaving no trace.

    I try to be strong,
    To break out of this cage
    I hear footsteps running after me,

    I hear its murderous breathing as I hide,
    It's mysterious red eyes capture mine.
    I pull myself together as I clench my fist over my heart,

    It hears me and sense my presence
    I dart off again running faster and faster
    I can't escape this fear or this darkness
    This feeling of rage

    A demented demon unlocks its cage,
    I fall to the ground to turn around and see
    The true hate that lingers inside me


    I wonder how this came to be?
    How long has this been in me?
    It started to grow from the very first time I cursed
    It glares at me with resentment and intensity

    As the moon's light shines again
    My eyes widened only to see
    The Demon who has unlocked the cage
    ...Is me.
