i am daddys little girl
i am only eight years old
my dad went away to war and left me here at home
my dad's in the air force makes our country and proud
but he goes away and leaves use for a while

when my dad goes away my mom is sad my brothers too
so we take it day by day
when his is away he misses so many things my dad was
not here this year for christmas or my birthday

the day my dad came home i gave him one big hug
i just smiled at him and squeezed him even tighter
the moment my dad goes away again
i will miss him from the start
