Beyond the sun
beyond the light
where stars reside
resting on Blackened sheets
of space
That's where you will find me
Beyond
Sadness
Beyond thoughts of war
The killing
The stealing
It's my resting spot
Weep not for my memory
only for what I have left behind
If my words could create images
if those images could create reality
I'd have you tonight
but weep not for my memory
Only for what I could have done
Beyond the sun beyond the light
Maybe it will be my time
Come join me
maybe it's my time
Rest your weary mind

- there are a lot of different kinds of poems, with or without metaphors. the idea is to awaken a feeling within the reader. your poem is good and it has a lot of substance

- I guess what she is saying, is that poetry is usually in a way a bit abstract in that the words themselves are so creative and not cliche that they create unique thoughts and idea's in someone's head.

- To Literal? You mean it's just not your style? Cause art can be anything....
