• A single tear rolls down my cold cheek
A hand rises to provide comfort
I shun the jester with pain and regret
    My breath is becoming uneven
I fear for others, knowing what is coming
I try not to break as the images blur before me
The sobs won’t stop at this point
Friends I love become meaningless shapes
The hand now a body embracing my shakes
A whisper of sweet nothingness meets my ear
My body stops and falls still
Lips quiver trying to form the woods my mind screams
His hands drop to my waist pulling me closer
The desperation and worry show in his eyes
Lost in my thoughts I don’t see him shaking
A wiping motion across my face leaves a burning trail
I attempt a breathy call of your name as I hold you tight
However a suffocating pool of doubt drowns the words out
