I was once a normal little girl,
    Until a demon
    Stole my world.

I was sleeping so soundly that night,
When I woke with a fright.

It surrounded me like a fog,
Until my view became faint and clogged.

    It took me away,
    Far, far, away.

I couldn’t see my family again,
    Said the demon,
    When I was ten.

It makes me do its biddings,
    Such evil, evil things,
I will never bring my family tidings
    Or even any news.

It makes me destroy the good things in life,
    The source of good,
    The wildlife.

    It shall make me eternal,
    So it says,
    Obliterating my happy dreams,
And how I long for cookies and cream,
    My very favourite treat.

So forever with it I am stuck,
Until it runs all out of luck.
