Well welcome to you, well welcome to thee
Right here, here you stand on this All Hallows Eve
The saints are not welcome, not welcome you see
For they are not fond of the blood that we bleed.
The vultures are out and the sparrows in
And the pumpkins are carved by the fools that have sinned
Their goosebumps have risen from a well deep within
As the children of demons shatter mirrors with grins.
In attempts to give younglings a bone-chilling scare
We mimic fowl creatures with the masks that we wear
And as they shed tears paired with sorrowful blare
The rest of us smile at their callow despair.
Macabre to the masses, delicious to I
Hypnotic to angels escaping the skies
‘Tis the one time of year upon Hell we rely
Where the innocence of youth takes a path gone awry.
Take heed of my words, I’m a man of good mien
This day hides a secret that might best stay unseen
Beneath all the costumes and sugared cuisine
Breathes an odious monster, and a black Halloween.
